Assholes!  Everyone has one.
With the incoming administration, there's going to be a lot of criticism thrown about and directed at people that may not necessarily deserve it.  So allow me to clear the air with some of the more recent topics that have occurred in the first TWO days of the new administration.

Guantanemo Bay being closed:
Good!  I'm of the opinion that quite a few of them were detained un-necessarily.  How long have some of them been rotting away in a jail because the prosecutors couldn't find any solid evidence?  If there was ANY sort of solid reason for the "offenders" to go trial, it would have been done within the first few months of them arriving there, not four or five years later.  
On top of that, the people that might very well be innocent are having doors shut in their faces by state governments saying, "Oh, we're glad that they're finally getting sorted through, but we don't want them to be housed here."  Really?  Seriously?  What is the idea behind denying someone a jail cell?  If you honestly hate a prisoner that much, why even support the closing of the Bay?

Abortion:
ANY of you who have talked to me about this know my EXACT stance on it.  I don't have one, and I refuse to have one.  It's not up to me, OR the government, to determine the outcome of any situation pertaining to that.  I do believe that Abortion shouldn't be used as a form of birth control.  You sleep with someone, accidentally get knocked up, you're gonna have to live with it.  There shouldn't be a delete button because you got buzzed one night and couldn't keep it in your pants.


Here's the thing about opinions.  I think they're great, but if you're going to speak it out, make sure you're informed.  None of this copy and pasting stories you've seen.  That's just naive.  Yeah, I'm sure I'll irritate a few people by saying that, but I'M informed of the issues and form my own opinions.  I don't leave MY state of mind up to the popular media.  Hear the sides, rationalize it all, and THEN decide where you stand.

EDIT:  My point is this.  Opinions are fine, opinions are dandy.  But if you're going to speak out on a topic, be prepared to defend it.  I've had MANY a person disagree with me because "That's just the way it is."  Yeah, I don't buy it.  I'll gladly sit down with anyone who will debate with me and I'll gladly defend my own points.
